  23. MAIL_MAN  MicroMetric <ASP>: MAIL_MAN is a Windows program designed to meet
  24. the needs of most companies and individuals for an automated method of
  25. creating, retrieving, and filing Phone and Email messages of unlimited
  26. size. It will run on an single computer, in a home or office environment,
  27. or on a network, accessible by a multitude of systems. The number of
  28. workstations accessing the database is unlimited, while the number of em-
  29. ployees is limited only by software license. Each employee has a 250 folder
  30. filing cabinet, and a separate Address book. Paging and/or dialing may be
  31. done by workstations with modems. Messages may be summarized, displayed,
  32. printed, marked, deleted, forwarded, filed, replied to, copied, or moved.

  35. IBM PC, XT, AT or true compatibles operating with Windows 3.x, WIndows for
  36. Workgroups 3.x or Windows 95. A network is required to support multiple
  37. workstations. There is no limit on the number of workstation accessing the
  38. database at any time, but the system is limited by license as to the number
  39. of extensions supported. Optional printer/modem required for full capabili-
  40. ties.

  44. * Supports a separate Address book for each employee. 
  45. * Address book entries may be made by an employee for his own Address book, 
  46.   or by anyone taking a Phone message for that employee.

  117. MAIL_MAN is being distributed as SHAREWARE. The SHAREWARE concept allows
  118. users to examine a program on a trial basis, at no (or minimal) charge,
  119. before purchasing it. In addition, by decreasing marketing costs, profes-
  120. sional quality software may be distributed for a fraction of the cost of a
  121. comparable commercial product. Regardless of whether you register the pro-
  122. gram, please help distribute MAIL_MAN by sharing unmodified copies of it
  123. and its files with others on a private non-commercial basis. Liability is
  124. limited to replacing the software for registered users. There is no liabil-
  125. ity for any damage or loss caused by this software, directly or indirectly.

  127. You are hereby granted the right to use the MAIL_MAN program for a ninety
  128. (90) day evaluation period. If you find MAIL_MAN of value, and continue to
  129. use it after this evaluation period, YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR PROGRAM USE.
  130. Please run the program, MAIL_REG.EXE, for registration information. Regis-
  131. tration may also be accessed by the FILE | REGISTER Menu item in MAIL_MAN.
  132. After the ninety day evaluation license period, if you decide not to regis-
  133. ter the program, PLEASE REMOVE THE PROGRAM AND ALL OF ITS FILES FROM YOUR
  134. SYSTEM.

  136. =| SPECIAL INSTALLATION INFORMATION |======================================
  137. 1.  To install the unregistered shareware version normally supplied on
  138.     diskette, in Windows run the program SETUP.EXE from the diskette, and
  139.     follow the installation instructions.
  140. 2.  To install the unregistered shareware version downloaded from a BBS or
  141.     the Internet, unpack the file "MMANvvv.ZIP" to either a separate direc-
  142.     tory - such as "TEMP" - or a floppy diskette. Then, in Windows run the
  143.     program SETUP.EXE from where it was unpacked to, and follow the instal-
  144.     lation instructions.
  145. 3.  The program SETUP.EXE will handle both installations and upgrades under
  146.     either Windows 3.x or Windows 95. When uppgrading, no data will be
  147.     lost.
  148. 4.  MAIL_MAN should be installed on a Network Logical Disk Drive, if it is
  149.     to be accessed by more than one computer at a time. It can be installed
  150.     on a non-network drive, but this limits its access to a single
  151.     workstation.
